Drain blocked immediately behind The Old Forge

Reported via desktop in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 16:25, Thu 14 March 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 403864.

The forecourt of The Old Forge is continually flooded from water which runs onto the forecourt from the main road A5120. It settles over the interceptors which were installed when the property was a garage. I have opened the covers of the interceptors to discover the outlet, which I presume runs to the blocked drain behind the Long Shop, is completely blocked. Consequently when we have a modicum amount of rain the interceptors overflow onto the forecourt. This occurrence manifested itself when the pavement to the left of the forecourt on the High Street was altered to make a narrower pedestrian cross point several years ago.
