Off road parking on west street

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 407427.

The trees along this part of the road are very low, si branches are scratching top of car roofs and are also low over the foot path and when windy they have been know to hit people , this has been getting worse for the last couple of years as the trees keep growing

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
    We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).

    We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    We have identified these trees for works as part our our ward words programme, unfortunately due to budget constraints we are unable to deliver a ward works programme this year.
