Wood End Tingrith, nest to tree right hand side of road, 6-10 meters up from the bottom of the road

Reported via desktop in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category by Marianne Gearing at 21:26, Sun 9 June 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 407884.

My name is Marianne I live at Bramleys, Wood End, Tingrith, Milton Keynes, Beds, MK17 9ER. Myself & my fiancé Phil have lived here for 3 months with some considerable rain fall in this period. To our dismay this has resulted with the bottom of the road flooding so badly vehicles are unable to pass.

My family including my 76-year-old disabled father & Phil have had enormous issues. Phil drove through this at 3am, on his way home, after working in our restaurant, some weeks back with water coming in thought the car doors, the car cut out shortly after this. We cannot afford to replace either of our cars & this as you may be able to imagine is very stressful for us & anyone else using this road.

We have had people knock at our door asking for help early in the morning when I have been working from home. There is a care home facility at the bottom of our road, I believe the people asking for help were carers...

I have countless stories from neighbours about issues this has caused them and other road users, including the carers.

Please can someone write to me to arrange a meeting to discuss long term corrective action.

I see some of the potholes, I assume created by this constant flooding have been filled, thank you. Sadly, there are still many more that also need addressing.

I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Thanks in advance,

Marianne
