Just approaching the zebra crossing going towards the town centre.

Reported via mobile in the Road Surface category by Anthony Brown at 08:52, Tuesday 18 June 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408203.

Two of the three covers in the road surface have sunk causing unstable driving when approaching the zebra crossing. Adam Shortland has informed me that they are ANGLIAN WATERS responsibility but he cannot get a response. This road is a CBC asset and should be repaired to prevent any accident. If A.W. will not react then CBC should do the repair and then bill A.W. for the costs.

  • in addition to this.. i have inspected the defect and although there is a slight dip around the assets where AW did their patching works, there is no danger/risk here currently so further remedial works are not urgent - i will re-inspect in wet weather to see if there is any ponding or further subsidence and send photos to AW if there is.

State changed to: No further action
