Junction of Stanbridge road & Lywood road lu74ra

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408271.

Roundabout markings worn out plus there is no roundabout sign on Stanbridge Rd direction with Lynwood Road on left. As there is No sign indicating a mini roundabout and markings of roundabout worn away this could be an accident spot for anybody not knowing a roundabout exist at this junction.

  • Another concerned resident called and advised that in the last couple of days he nearly had 2 accidents due to the sign missing to alert the drivers there is a roundabout coming. The sign is missing coming into Leighton Buzzard direction on Stanbridge Road, LU7 4RF.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
