Corner of Bunkers Lane into Wing Road and Wing Road to train underpass

Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 09:59, Wed 3 July 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408763.

Terribly dangerous situation at the junction and along the path where shrubbery and trees are overgrown restricting an already narrow path which is not fit for purpose. Children are forced to walk very close to the road edge, occasionally into the road itself.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
