Inaccessible footpath due to poor maintenance and overgrown bushes. This is leading to schoolchildren walking in the road

  • Have spoken to the resident of no.1 who has plans to cut this hedge back but does have concerns for birds nests. I will re-inspect in 28 days

    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
