Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 18:27, Sunday 14 July 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409205.

The vegetation has completely grown across the footpath. You need to step off the Greenfield High Street pavement onto the road to continue the journey walking to Flitwick. Just before the very busy T junction of High Street / Westoning Road / Greenfield Road.

  • Now completely over hanging onto the road.

Are residents allowed to cut this if CBC are ignoring works like this?

  • Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately this issue does not come under the responsibility of our Highways Department, however, we have forwarded this report to our Customer Services Team, and requested it is passed to Environmental Services (on the vision splays & swathe cut layer) within Central Bedfordshire Council. In the meantime residents are allowed to prune this back themselves if it is continuing to cause an issue.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
