The muddy drain sludge on the path and curb side after the flooding last night.
Reported via iOS in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 13:27, Tue 16 July 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409292.
I have tried to hose down the path outside my front door at 44 Church Street, but the curb side is thick with dirty drain sludge and needs to be cleaned.
Additional drains need to be added to Church Street between 30-50 to cope with any downpours which are now far more frequent.

Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspxAfter inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
