Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409509.
A large mature tree was cut down here a while ago and has since started shooting from the stump again. The remains of the huge stump and the basal growth obstruct most of the pavement. Can this stump be grinded away completely to remove this obstruction.

Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspxAfter inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
Due to the restricted budgets we are now working with in comparison to previous years, we are having to prioritise the defects that pose a higher risk in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan. This does mean that not every defect reported to us will be considered as a priority for repair, as we need to ensure what budget we do have is being put towards addressing the most safety critical issues on the network at that moment in time.
Many thanks,
