Outside BP garage exit

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409666.

Carriageway lids have been slowly collapsing and getting worse over past few months. Now when HGV drives over it one of the 4 pieces jumps up and could pop out causing a sesious accident/damage. Normally cars just causing it to clatter at the moment but it’s getting worse

    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
