Outside of number 14 Lucas Way

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 14:45, Monday 29 July 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409785.

There is a tree on the verge. The tree is is very poor condition. Branches keep falling off. There is growth around the bottom affecting the road and path. One large branch fell this week and others look like they will fall. They are large enough to cause injury to cars parked below or people. The tree was surveyed for someone on behalf of the council over a year ago and they said they were recommending for the tree to be cut down due to its poor state of health.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
