This fault is causing the massive noise problem as nearly every car and lorry runs over it with a loud clunk clunk! This has been going on for weeks, and it is totally unacceptable for local residents to suffer this constant torture day and night. The double cover and frame have sunk and is showing signs of structural damage. If I may suggest that the biscuit (brickwork) in the chamber are to be investigated and the cover and frame renewed.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
    An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)
