36 Great Northern Road

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410415.

Further to my report on Monday 12 August (Council ref: 410214) regarding HGV vehicles using Great Northern Road which is a 7.5 tonne limit, I need to inform you of the following infringements last night.

All 16/17 August 2024 23.48 3 x artic (1 was Evri) 01.14 artic 01.15 artic 01.48 artic 01.49 box lorry, artic (cmc), artic (Eddie Stobbart) 01.51 artic (APL) 02.10 artic 02.33 artic 02.47 artic, box lorry 02.51 artic (Waitrose) 03.13 artic (Evri), artic 03.22 box lorry 03.28 artic 03.29 open back grabber 03.32 artic (Prime) 03.37 box lorry, artic (PML Transports) 03.47 box lorry 03.55 artic 04.22 artic 04.55 box lorry. Apart from the fact that these vehicles are actually breaking the law, they have no reason to be using this road at all especially in the early hours. It is unreasonable and inconsiderate of these drivers to be doing so and the noise they are generating is causing a persistent disturbance. This is the second Friday night that we have been unable to get a good nights sleep - how long does this have to go on before something is done about it.
