Full width pothole
Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category anonymously at 10:24, Friday 6 September 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411064.
This area was marked in yellow and "FDR" by the "joint sealing" team a number of weeks ago. This area has significantly deteriorated over the past month due to the hap-hazard way the team worked to clear the road surface. There is now a large amount of damaged road surface here, probably 1 ft x 4 ft, a number of inches deep. As heavy vehicles like busses drive through this damaged area it is making multiple houses shake.
Please repair this ASAP.
Don't fob me off with "Maintenance work is planned for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of these works.". If you put that in your close message I'll know for a fact you haven't actually read anything here.
If further works are scheduled, please provide dates? There are no works planned showing on the one.network site.
There are also outstanding works from the joint sealing project that the team still have outstanding. Will they be returning? When?

Due to current budget restraints, these are not yet at the intervention level to qualify for repairs. ILl monitor these closely, and will action when the budget is topped. Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspxAfter inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
Many thanks,
