Old A421 junction with Bedford Road

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 11:22, Sunday 8 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411130.

The trees and grass is over growing which is preventing a view on to the Old A421. This is dangerous as traffic cannot see in either direction . I have witnessed two near misses here this week. This has been like this for months.

I have reported this to the council previously and was told it was the responsibility of the highways agency. I have reported it to them and they have said it is responsibility of the council.

The trees and grass need trimming back or this is going to Contribute to an accident which may be fatal as this is a national speed limit road and the view is obscured in each direction.

Just to be clear this is the old A421 and not the new A421 which is where it appears each authority is deflecting responsibility.

Please can this be actioned ASAP before a serious collision occurs.
