154 Station Road to end of Marston Moreteyne Cemetery,

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 13:45, Monday 9 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411182.

Trees and hedging alongside the ditch from 154 Station Road to end of Marston Moreteyne Cemetery are overgrown and require cutting back/pruning. Trees will also require pruning which hang over the cemetery car park. Trees / hedging is the responsibility of CBC as on its land and not the parish council. Please advise the parish council when work will be undertaken to ensure a burial has not been scheduled for that date/time.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP). We'll be undertaking the hedge cutting works in our next reactive works package.

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
