At Brambles Avenue (the back pathway)
Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 09:03, Friday 13 September 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411344.
We have moved into a newly built development (Brambles Avenue, Harlington) and our children/teens walk to the upper school in the village and to the train station to attend college, however as the path has not been completed (or even started) our teenagers are having to walk along a busy road which comes straight off a 60 mph county road into the village, this is extremely dangerous and very worrying, young people are very vulnerable near the road but in this case they are having to walk on it to get to school, this increases their risk astronomically. The developers of the homes have said they have finished their part of the path (which is visible in the photo) and paid the council however no works have been done and we have no access to pathways in and out of our homes. Please can this be prioritised for the safety of our young people going to school and college.
