After roundabout when travelling towards Bedford Road.

Reported via desktop in the Road markings and lining category by Anthony Brown at 12:04, Tue 17 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411496.

The 20 MPH sign on the road surface needs urgent attention as it has nearly disappeared. This road has a lot of HGVs using it as a rat run and it is essential as a reminder to drivers.

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Central Bedfordshire Council at 12:04, Tue 17 September 2024

  • We currently have a network-wide scheme planned for lining renewal and the issue will be resolved as part of this work, alongside the mini roundabout here and at Clifton Road. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, but it is likely to be 2025.

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
