Tree next to footpath outside No 6 Meadhook Drive / opposite No 12
Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 16:56, Wednesday 18 September 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411564.
Tree branches are severely overgrown and are fully overhanging the footpath which is a health & safety issue during windy weather. Branches are nearly touching the front of No 6, which poses a risk to the house and are continually blocking any natural light into one half of the front of the house.

Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspxAfter inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the tree during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
As per our policy, we are not obligated to prune trees to allow light into private property.
Many thanks,
