21 Ashwell Street , Leighton Buzzard , LU7 1BG

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 14:41, Thu 19 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411601.

Resident living at number 21 Ashwell Street , Leighton Buzzard , LU7 1BG has illegally taken over a section of the footpath and a piece of council grass / land that runs alongside the footpath.

The footpath is at the left hand of number 21 Ashwell Street

Number 21 has removed the concrete posts around the grass area that were installed by the council many years ago.

And has replaced the concrete posts / bollards with blue half cut plastic buckets .

Now uses the grass area and footpath for leisure activities while members of the public walk by.

Looks like he believes that this communal grass area / footpath . Right next to the public footpath is now his grass area / land .

Google maps from 2009 viewing from Edward St . You can see the previous concrete posts / bollards.

Then Google map from 2019 viewing from Ashwell street . You can see that the concrete posts / bollards have now been replaced with the blue half cut plastic buckets .
