Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 16:36, Saturday 21 September 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411667.
Tree roots are growing underneath the pavement and causing cracks and uneven surfaces. There is also exposed tree root in the grass verge which is heading towards the road. This is likely to cause future structural damage to homes where the roots are close to growing under, and possibly to the roads in the future too. The pavement is uneven causing difficulties for those using wheelchairs and pushchairs. The cracks are extending and there is water access on the pavement which could leave residents without water access if they are damaged by the roots.
