110 High St, Cranfield, MK43 0DG

Reported via mobile in the Flooded Property category anonymously at 17:36, Sunday 22 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411734.

Two main issues: 1. Road gulley to front left of property (on your right as you look out the front door of the house & on the same side of the road as the house) doesn't drain. Water floods road & makes its way to lowest point which is the front garden of the property at 110 and the adjoining 108. 2. The drop kerb to the alley to the right of the houses & the sunken pavement cause the roadwater to drain from the road into the front gardens before it reaches the road gulley. In heavy rain the street runoff drains into the front gardens & floods the two properties. Rainwater level reaches the height of the front door aperture to both houses. Sustained torrential rain causes water ingress.

For reference; the road gulley on the opposite side of the road drains freely.
