Three plank bridge has been washed away in the floods.

Can I suggest a kissing gate or similar at the vehicle entrance to fishing lake. Crossing the road is much safer as visability is clearer for both vehicles and pedestrians.

  • Thank you for your report and letting us know. This sleeper bridge was already on our list for replacement. We have discussed a diversion of the path with the landowner to allow a better crossing point but he is not willing to apply and pay for a diversion. The Council does not currently have the budget to process any diversion as a Council generated scheme. We will review what we do here as we arrange to replace the bridge with our highways contractor, Milestone.
