Trees on the first part of entry to the left hand bend towards 3 medley close

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 19:24, Wednesday 25 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412145.

The trees were overhanging the pavement causing walkers to have to bend double to get under them. Reported in June. Still not cut back. Now the same trees on the side by the road are overhanging the road so far that you have to go on the wrong side of the road to get round them. DANGEROUS. Please cut these trees back....

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
