Steps up from the stonemason site off Potton Road to Potton Road itself

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 09:04, Thursday 26 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412162.

To avoid the narrow pathway on the bridge, school children walk past Biggleswade Local on the lower pathway below the railway bridge, up towards Quince Stoneworks and walk up the steps which are not just overgrown but full of sharp brambles. This is the only alternative route for children to avoid traffic and get to a crossing. There is no safe crossing for children and this one is now becoming impassable

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Central Bedfordshire Council at 09:05, Thursday 26 September 2024

  • This is not a CBC adopted/maintained route. The footpaths on the Potton Road bridge however, are. We have works planned in to prune back all encroaching vegetation on both sides of the bridge to allow use of the full width of the path.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
