Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412430.
Drainage ditches behind houses are cluttered with leaves and other debris. During the heavy rain recently, the ditches were unable to take the water away and overflowed into gardens on Pilgrims close. Works now in progress to connect new development to drains do not seem to be taking into account this problem. When the development is finished water coming off what used to be a field, but now is a development is likely to flood Pilgrims close. A better system of water management is needed to cope with the amount of water that will be likely in the future. In other words, maintenance needs to be better and planning for future capacity needs to be put in place and executed to protect properties in this area.
