I have already reported this problem since our house flooded in the rain on Sunday 22nd September. Our house would NOT have flooded if the council had ensured adequate drainage in the area and had maintained the drains to a satisfactory standard. It is not acceptable to close the report and say that the drains will be cleared as part of the councils ongoing gully cleansing programme when we now have serious concerns about further potential flooding of our property. I have looked at the schedule for gully cleansing and our drains do not appear in the 24/25 schedule. Something must be done as a matter of urgency and as a priority.
