Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412565.

Road drain in front of 39 Southcourt Avenue has been blocked since the heavy rainfall and now standing water persists and floods to path, at times covering half of the pathway. This issue has occurred in the past, but since the last clearance it has been fine, but I suspect it was clogged during the heavy rainfall we experienced.

  • It isnt blocked, it wouldve just been a capacity issue due to the amount of rainfall. Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
