Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412876.

Drains along the A507 btw Clophill and Shefford has been blocked That the drainage cannot cope with amount of waste going into the drainage .

The source of the waste is from a company at the side the A507 . This company is located between Clophill and Henlow .

When you leave Clophill and head towards Henlow. The company is on the right hand side .

The company is an earth shifting company. The amount of earth that the are piling up is washing into the drainage which is leading to flooding

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx
    The drains are still working, and in moderate rainfall there is no flooding/pooling.

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
