Outside 12 Hitchin Road Shefford SG175JA

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413031.
We keep encountering problems with people using the STMA and parking outside my house (12 Hitchin Road) and blocking the driveway. This part of the road isn’t very wide so even when people park opposite the driveway it’s difficult to get our cars out. Would you be able to put some double yellow lines on the road by our house. It’s the end of a cul de sack. I’ve had times before where the is a football match at the STMA and I have to try find the person who’s car it is and ask them to move it. It’s got to the point now where it’s becoming a big problem.

Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. We operate a holistic response to parking restriction requests, due to the need for a Traffic Regulation Order (which is a legal document) to implement new or revised restrictions. Please refer to the website and read our parking strategy before continuing further. Should you wish to proceed please demonstrate support from other residents and the ward councillor when requesting these restrictions by completing and submitting the application. Your application will then be reviewed, prioritised accordingly or included in a wider traffic management scheme for the area. http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ request/ parking-restriction.aspx
