  • Thank you for your Highways report.

When resurfacing was last conducted, they tarmacked right up to the edge of the tree, which will cause the slow death of the tree and cause problems with the footway. I have passed this to my colleagues in the resurfacing team - it will be their call on whether the footway is hazardous enough to conduct works.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways

  • I do not believe this is currently at intervention level. Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
