Better Lane signage required

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413053.

Due to the sheer amount of traffic at rush-hour, the floor markings are inadequate for this junction and people are in the wrong lanes all the time. A physical sign for lane direction is required before the roundabout to prevent people being in the wrong lanes. I have seen many close calls with vehicles almost colliding.

    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
