Updates

  • I will take a look at the path in question. I may be able to clear most of it with my brush cutter although I do not have the capacity to remove vegetation from site. Vegetation growing from private gardens is the responsibility of the individual homeowners. It may be that I can write to them and remind them of their responsibilities.

  • I have visited the site and cut back the vegetation. Most of the vegetation causing a problem comes from gardens and it is the responsibility of the occupiers to ensure vegetation does not encroach onto the footpath. Nevertheless I've cut back the worse sections. I've also tried to cut back some of the ground level growing weeds, including Nightshade. The path should also be weed sprayed a couple of times a year by Environmental Services. Unfortunately I do not have the capacity to remove the cut vegetation.
