Entrance to Britain Street

Reported via mobile in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 22:18, Wed 23 October 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council 14 hours, 59 minutes later. Council ref: 413654.

This road is dangerous at school drop off and pick up time. A zebra crossing and/or 5 mile an hour speed limit would make a big difference to pupil safety.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
