The pathway from Ridgeway Avenue to Caterweys, Dunstable East LU5 4

Reported via iOS in the Pavement and Cycle path category by Cllr John Gurney at 10:35, Fri 25 October 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413689.

The pathway from Ridgeway Avenue to Caterweys, which runs between Hadrian Academy/Linsell House and the edge of Ridgeway Recreation Ground, is broken and uneven.

Some parts have been patched and have a smooth surface but most of it has a broken and uneven surface.

At the end next to the school, tree roots have come through the surface.

I have been told that for anyone pushing a children’s buggy, it’s like going off-road. I would imagine anyone in a wheelchair gets a bumpy ride. The surface is also a trip hazard especially for young children and older people with mobility issues.

It would be more helpful to resurface the whole length of this pathway, building in a ramp over the tree roots.
