Bury Road shillington opposite 55, 55a, 55b, 53,
Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 12:55, Wed 11 December 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 415659.
There are dead trees and over grown shrubs hanging over the road, vehicles are struggling to get past each other. Buses, Lorrieās, vans etc are catching the trees which results in debris from the trees hitting ours cars (which are on the driveways) and landing onto our property. Also due to the restrictions people are driving on the pavement right out my house 55. There have been restrictions for emergency services getting through. This has been going on for longer that two years and seems to be getting worse, more of a Risk to the elderly and kids (including the school Buses) that going smashing into the buses and trees.

Thank you for your Highways report.
We are currently assessing the matter and further information is currently being collated to assist us. If anything further is required from yourself as the person reporting the issue, one of our engineers will contact you using the contact details provided. We are looking into the ownership of these trees as they seem to be on the boundary of our ownership. We won't be able to undertake/enforce any pruning/flailing to cut this back until the end of nesting season. However we can enforce removal of the dead trees if we believe them to be a danger.
Many thanks,
